Anne Collier: Another look at photography

Posted in Fine Art, Photography, Statement by linhdy on February 5, 2010

Anne Collier is a Los Angeles native who makes us eerily aware of the art of photography. There’s not blurring realism here– what we are looking at is definitely a photograph. And somehow, it comes off a little creepier than if we just believe in the false charades and continued with business as usual. Instead, she makes us look at the photograph, the process, and the message.

Through Collier eyes, photography is just a sterile means of reproduction…or is it?
